Senior Macy Ferguson Smith had career highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Quincy High School girls basketball team to a 50-37 home victory Saturday over Chatham Glenwood.
Smith had three key free throws in the final two minutes to help QHS (2-8) pull away after Glenwood cut the lead to six points.
After having two home games canceled last week because of weather, QHS started strong and outscored Glenwood 17-9 in the second quarter to take a 29-16 hafltime lead.
Freshman Tori Kuhn had 13 points and eight rebounds for QHS, which had its second-highest scoring game of the season. The victory also doubles QHS’ win total from one year ago.
Allie Hogan led Glenwood with 21 points. Glenwood missed 13 3-point attempts in the second half.
